The Cardinals have agreed to terms with 15 undrafted rookies following the 2014 draft, including local running back Zach Bauman, who attended Northern Arizona University and nearby Chandler Hamilton High School.
General Manager Steve Keim said at the conclusion of the draft he wanted to sign at least two running backs and three to five offensive linemen. Bauman and UNLV’s
Cornett and Bauman give the Cards enough comfort to be able to release running back Ryan Williams. Cornett had 1,284 yards rushing this season and 15 touchdowns, averaging 4.9 yards a carry. Bauman had 1,456 yards rushing and was NAU's all-time leading rusher with 5,132 yards. He also had 1,181 yards receiving in his career, with 51 touchdowns.
