College Career: Played 45 games (30 starts), recording 317 tackles (153 solo), 14.0 sacks, three INTs, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries during his four seasons at Illinois … recorded a total of 45.5 tackles for loss, good for third in school history … was a three-time All-Big Ten selection and a 2012 Butkus Award semifinalist … led the team in tackles in 2011 and 2013 … started all 12 games during his senior season in 2013, leading the team in tackles (119), tackles for loss (15) and sacks (five) … posted nine or more tackles in seven games … tied his career highs with 17 total tackles and nine solo tackles vs. Northwestern … earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors from the media and was a Butkus Award semifinalist as a junior after playing in nine games (seven starts) and posting 59 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery … missed final three games with shoulder injury … led the team in tackles (108) during his sophomore season, playing 12 games (11 starts) and posting 19.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, two fumble recoveries, an INT and a forced fumble … notched 14 tackles and a half-sack against Minnesota … saw action in 12 games as a true freshman, posting 31 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a half-sack, an INT and a forced fumble … made his first career appearance in win over Southern Illinois and recorded five tackles.
